Cameo Skin Care Event

Cameo offers this annual skin care event as a way to attract new customers.  All of their gift cards are half off that day which can be used with any of their services.  This year the event is on Wed. May 9 (10-8PM) and you can do any of their free services that day such as; pedicure, facials, eye lash extensions, etc.  The key is you have to go first thing in the morning to sign up for your appt. as the appointments fill up fast.  Then you might have to drive back later to receive your actual spa treatment.  Cameo is located in Murray so depending on where you live, this may be beneficial or not.  Last year they had free eyebrow waxing and makeup while you were waiting. We also received a free bag with goodies and coupons in it when you walk in the door.  Check it out if you have time you will love the services.

Need new jeans

A few months ago I came across this website called: www.ymijeans.com.  Anyway, they have a lot of cute trendy jeans and jackets for a pretty good price if you buy them off clearance.  They even have a  few dresses, shirts and shorts that they are coming out with for spring.  Every day they have a item that is $5(listed on home page), but you have to purchase it fast as they only have limited inventory and when it is gone it's gone.  Typically I've noticed it becomes available between 10-11am, but the times can vary.  Sometimes they will feature the same item 2 days in a row, so if at first you don't succeed try again.  I have bought 2 pairs of jeans for $5 and both jeans came with a cute belt.  You do have to pay 5.95 for shipping, but still $11.95 is a great deal for quality jeans.  Check it out and see what you think.

Half It

One trick I have found to save on baby wipes is to rip them in half.  I know this might seem extreme, but it truly does cut back on the amount of wipes you will have to go through in a month. Not to mention that babies bums are so tiny and they really don't need a whole wipe every-time and you will need to buy wipes for 2.5-3 yrs. depending on when they become potty trained.  Now their is an exception to this half wipe method, if your baby poops or has a blow out then by all means use as many wipes as you need to get the job done.  The Huggies wipes rip the easiest and normally I wait until Costco comes out with one of their coupons and then buy them in bulk.  I even rip them for wiping faces, clean-up or what not.  Another great trick my mother-in-law told me is to rip your dryer sheets in half.  You get the same laundry results as you would with a whole dryer sheet.  So next time you are about to use something you can rip in half give it a try and see how you like it.  :)

Better than Shaving Cream

Have you ever noticed how all the little things can really add up.  Well a couple of years ago when my sister moved in with us I ran out of shaving cream real fast.  Needless to say she told me about using cheap conditioner from the dollar store instead and we have been hooked ever since.  If you never tried it before give it a shot.  You will find your legs (or any body part) that you shave with conditioner are silky smooth compared to pricey shaving cream.  The best thing about it is you don't have to worry about the razor burns or rashes afterwards and sometimes you don't even need lotion depending on the season.    Here is a sample of one of the kinds you can pick up at the dollar store.

Hogle Zoo

Every year the Hogle Zoo offers a few free admission days during the winter months.  I know it can be a bit cold walking around outside, but as long as you bundle up I have never had a problem when we have gone.  Plus the kids get tired after an hour, so I really don't feel the need to stay all day.  If any of you want to come with me and the kiddos call me and we can arrange a time to go in February.  Tracy Aviary is doing free admission in February as well.  Please see the information below.

Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City offers free admission on Wednesday, Jan. 25. The zoo offers free admission on the last Wednesday of the month in November, December, January and February.
Tracy Aviary, an eight-acre attraction in Salt Lake City that’s home to more than 400 birds, also offers free admission Wednesday. The facility offers free admission every Wednesday through February. Note: The aviary still charges a $1 per person fee that goes to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Northern Utah to help rehabilitate injured birds.
